ALBANY COUNTY GOP & CONSERVATIVE CONFERENCE SPONSORS MORE THAN $23,000 IN LEGISLATIVE GRANTS

2025 Legislative Grants Sponsored by Local Lawmakers Awarded to Eight Organizations Serving Children, Families and Communities in Albany County

ALBANY, NY – The Albany County Republican and Conservative Conference today announced their sponsorship of more than $23,000 in Legislative Grants. The 2025 awards received by eight organizations will help serve children, families and communities across Albany County.

“The Albany County Legislature’s Legislative Grant program is an annual reminder of the positive ways we can give back to the communities we serve. I’m proud to lead a Conference that sponsored more than $23,000 in awards this year supporting youth sports teams and organizations, conservation groups and other worthy community partners. Congratulations again to all those awarded today for their hard work and dedication to the people of Albany County,” said Minority Leader Frank A. Mauriello (R-C, Colonie).

Legislative Grants sponsored by the Republican and Conservative Conference will support community organizations including:​

 

  • Colonie Soccer Club, $2,590 sponsored by Minority Leader Mauriello;

  • Operation at Ease, $2,405 sponsored by Deputy Minority Leader Paul Burgdorf;

  • Albany Capital Lacrosse Club, $5,180 co-sponsored by Legislators Todd Drake and Ryan Conway;

  • Boy Scout Troop 278, $2,590 sponsored by Legislator Patty Schwarz Lockart;

  • YMCA of the Capital District – Guilderland Branch, $2,590 sponsored by Legislator Mark Grimm;

  • Mohawk Land Conservancy, Inc., $2,590 sponsored by Legislator Jeff Perlee;

  • Hudson Valley Little League, $2,590 sponsored by Legislator Zach Collins; and

  • Albany County Conservation Alliance, $2,590 sponsored by Legislator Chris Smith.
