Albany County has now joined the growing list of local municipalities with major violent crimes committed by those in our country illegally.

The rape of a 15-year-old girl and the brutal murder of a 24-year-old victim are on President Joe Biden’s hands, as well as every Democrat who supports insane open border and sanctuary city policies.

The attempts by local authorities to hide these appalling crimes and the suspects’ immigration statuses for weeks from the public only makes it worse. They are trying to minimize a vicious murder and rape committed by individuals they welcomed with open arms; unvetted and allowed to stay in our country by the Biden administration. They do not want the public to know the consequences of their actions.

Governor Kathy Hochul, Mayor Kathy Sheehan and other area Democrat officials should announce today they are allowing law enforcement to cooperate with ICE moving forward. They should bus the migrants currently in Albany County back to New York City or send them to Washington D.C. And they should call on President Biden to truly close the border today. Though they can never undo the damage already done, perhaps these proposed actions can prevent future pain and suffering for law-abiding taxpayers and citizens in our communities.
