District 39: Chris Smith

Christopher H. Smith is serving his second term as Albany County Legislator for the 39th district. The district is comprised of a majority of the Helderberg mountain towns and villages. His first four year term began in January 2016.
 

Chris served in the United States Army before returning to his hometown of East Berne. He helped revitalize the community by establishing multiple restaurants and businesses.

Chris, and wife Amanda, own and operate the Maple on the Lake restaurant on Warner Lake. They employ dozens of local residents and host community events from little league meetings to weddings.
 

Chris is committed to bringing the voices of his small town constituents to the city of Albany. He shares their core values, affinity for rural living and appreciation of the simple things in life.

He shares his passion for the outdoors and motorsports with his two sons, Clay and Finn.
